Stuart & PSL Recycling have been working in the metals recycling sector in south Florida since 1945. Their initial location was established in West Palm Beach, Florida. Shortly thereafter, to assist the military in recycling metals for World War II, they constructed a second ship dismantling facility in Tampa, Florida. They opened the first vehicle shredder in Florida and one of the first in the United States in 1965, importing technology from the United States and Europe.
